Hi everyone - just an email of introduction really - I've been contributing to the alt.movies.cinamatography.super8 newsgroup for a while but have only just started reading this regularly - this is an excellent forum, and one which has helped me alot -- so anyway if anyone's interested I just want to draw your attention to the web page I have for my feature which is currently being shot on Super 8 now -- we're using K40 in a Beaulieu 4008ZMII which was crystal synched by The Film Group, and we're recording sound onto minidisc via a Sennheiser mic. The film is set in New Guinea in 1938 and is being shot in south east Queensland in Australia. I won't go into all the details on the story line etc it's all on the web page - along with production updates, technical info etc -- it's all been going well too - we've shot about 75% of the film - and have got most of that developed too, and it looks fantastic -- we're going to telecine it with a Rank Cintel and then edit on PC in DV format. ANyway hope you all enjoy -- there are no captured pictures from the film yet, but plenty of still photos taken on location etc

Scott,
I checked out your web site and I have to say that I am impressed! I admire the professional way you are tackling your film. I for one hope that you'll be offering some copies of your video for sale... preferably in NTSC for us Yanks...
I love the storyline and will read the script once you get it posted. It's nice to see a serious Super8 flick being made. It's projects like these that will hopefully kick Super8 up a notch or two on the professional scale.
Good luck and may God bless...

Hi - just letting everyone know that we've finished principal photography on "In My Image" (woohoo) and that the web page has now moved locations to:
http://www.mango-a-gogo.com/inmyimage/image.htm
- there's more information there, and some more photos have been posted recently
Thanks
Scot
(thanks filmy for the above comments too)

I was checking through the archives and came across this. The URL is now http://www.mango-a-gogo.com/inmyimage/image.htm as the previous entry said. It's a great site with lots of photos now and production info.
I just thought I'd bounce it up to the top for newbies like me who didn't know about it.

You have to be somewhere before you can come back.
Or do you?
Just thought I'd connect the dots.

Yes sorry - a bit uninformative wasn't it -- (still suffering jet lag, a flu, and some southern comfort)- BUT! - went to Ireland, France and Germany - visiting friends and relatives (in laws) it's a long way from Australia but it was great - we were in Ireland for about 4 weeks - including 10 days driving around just looking at the wonderful place, and about 10 days in France and Germany -- which were wonderful too - I'd hoped to buy some Beaulieu gear while I was there - searched heaps of second hand stores in Ireland to no luck - and then by the time we were in France and Germany had very limitied time too - but that's alright - I've got some contacts I can follow up about that -- I saw Jurassic Park III in Ireland and was so excited (even though it's a pretty average film) I was thinking about hitting up the digital effects artist from In My Image to see if he'd want to do some Super 8 dino short -- it'd just be so much fun......maybe I should - anyway -- hope everyone's well here - I'm lookingat upgrading the computer now and getting my finger out and getting the rank transfer next week so I'l be able to start editing soon which will be exciting - but a big job -- we'll see how it goes...
